Jackrabbit Trail

The Jackrabbit Trail is a short 1.2-mile segment of the larger Jackrabbit Ski Trail network, a historic cross-country ski route connecting communities across the northern Adirondacks. Originally conceived by outdoorsman Jack Rabbit Johannsen in the 1930s, the full system links Keene to Paul Smiths via Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, though individual segments vary widely in maintained condition and access. This section sees use for both skiing and walking depending on season and local maintenance.
