Jackrabbit Trail

The Jackrabbit Trail is a 1.5-mile segment of the historic 88-mile Jackrabbit Trail system, a cross-country ski and hiking corridor that links communities across the northern Adirondacks. Originally developed in the 1980s and named for legendary ski jumper Herman "Jackrabbit" Johannsen, the network follows old logging roads, rural lanes, and wooded connectors between Lake Placid and Paul Smiths. This particular stretch offers year-round access for hikers and trail runners when snow conditions don't favor skis.
