Osgood Pond.
Osgood Pond sprawls across 516 acres just west of the village of Saranac Lake — large enough to feel open-water but sheltered enough to paddle on days when the bigger lakes blow out. The pond is largely ringed by private development, especially along the southern shore, but it's a working recreational lake: small-craft access, some seasonal camps, enough buffer from Route 3 to feel separate.
