Jonh Pond Clear Pond Loop Trail.

A 1.2-mile loop with 187 feet of gain makes this one of the shortest outings in the park worth lacing up for. The ground trail takes about 43 minutes and strings together two ponds without the usual Adirondack root tangle that slows you down on steeper climbs. It's skiable in winter when snow covers the surface. Good for an evening lap when you want woods and water but not a production.
