Point Breeze Motel & Cottages sits on 9 acres of lakefront, beach, and private woodlands in the hamlet of Indian Lake. The property is deliberately set well back from the road, which keeps the atmosphere quiet and private even at the height of summer.

Accommodations come in two formats: motel rooms rented by the night, and four cottages rented by the week. Three cottages (Lakeside, Red Pine, Blueberry) face the water; the fourth (Chipawyck) sits more privately in the woods. The one-bedroom Lakeside cabin includes a full living room and a kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop.

All guests share access to the private docks, sandy beach, and lakeside fire pit. Each cottage is equipped with a Weber grill, picnic table, books, board games, and a coffee setup. Outdoor fire pit and grill area face directly toward the lake.

Best for: small families, couples' weeks at the lake, and travelers who want a quieter alternative to Lake George– or Lake Placid–scale resorts. Reservations: 518-648-5555 during the open season.
