Adirondack Rail Trail

The Adirondack Rail Trail is a 1.1-mile segment of a longer rail-trail network being developed across the central Adirondacks, primarily on the bed of the former New York Central railroad. The surface is typically hard-packed gravel or cinder, accessible for walkers, cyclists, and in some sections, cross-country skiing. Exact routing and connectivity vary by section as the full corridor continues to be converted from rail to recreational use.
