Old Northville-Placid Trail

The Old Northville-Placid Trail is a 1.0-mile segment of the historic 133-mile route that once ran from Northville to Lake Placid, rerouted in sections but preserved here. Short enough for a quick walk, it offers a piece of Adirondack long-distance hiking history without the full commitment.

Old Northville-Placid Trail runs 1.0 miles (1.6 km) with about 175 feet of elevation gain — an easy hike, with a gentle, rolling grade, about 35 minutes on the trail. It is also open to Nordic skiing in winter.
