§ The Trails · Great Sacandaga Lake

North Country.

A 0.6-mile loop on dirt that circles Irving Pond with 183 feet of gain and takes most hikers around 24 minutes. The trail sees both foot traffic and mountain bikes, so keep your ears open on blind corners. It's short enough for a leg-stretcher or a quick after-work lap, and the minimal climbing makes it workable for families who want something easier than the bigger North Country trails.
