Jack Rabbit Trail

The Jack Rabbit Trail is a historic cross-country ski trail that connects Lake Placid to Keene through a network of wilderness routes, named for early 20th-century ski pioneer Herman "Jack Rabbit" Johannsen. Originally conceived as a long-distance backcountry corridor, the trail has evolved into a system of interconnected segments maintained by various clubs and landowners. Winter conditions and trail access can vary significantly by segment—check with local ski touring centers before heading out.
