Goodnow Mountain Trail

Goodnow Mountain Trail leads to a fire tower summit in the central Adirondacks, historically one of the region's most accessible fire tower hikes. The trail climbs steadily through mixed hardwood and conifer forest to an active fire tower offering 360-degree views of the surrounding peaks. The trailhead is located on Route 28N between Newcomb and Long Lake, with a designated parking area maintained by the state.
