Helms Aero Service

Helms Aero Service operates from a seaplane base at 1389 Tupper Rd in Long Lake, running scenic float-plane flights over the central Adirondack lake country and longer charters to remote fishing camps, the Great Camps cluster, and the High Peaks. The business is family-owned and has been flying out of Long Lake since 1947. The standard scenic ride is roughly 20 minutes, covering 25–30 miles, with a $40 per-adult and $20 per-child (13 and under) rate and a $90-per-flight minimum. Scenic flights are reliably available July through August, with reduced operation in late June and early September depending on weather and pilot availability.
