Goodnow Mountain Trail

The Goodnow Mountain Trail is a short 0.3-mile path leading to the fire tower summit of Goodnow Mountain, a popular beginner-friendly peak near Newcomb. The trail gains elevation steadily but moderately through mixed forest, making it accessible for families and those new to Adirondack hiking. The fire tower at the top is staffed seasonally and offers interpretive views across the central Adirondacks.
