East Branch Sacandaga River Trail.
9-mile trail follows the East Branch Sacandaga River near Little Bear Mountain with just 241 feet of elevation gain, making it one of the gentler riverside walks in the southern Adirondacks. The packed earth surface holds up well in summer and converts to a solid cross-country ski route once snow covers the ground. Plan on 2 hours for the out-and-back.
