Pit-smoked Carolina barbecue in a 19th-century Adirondack lodge
This chef/owner operated facility is located on Route 30, six miles south of Indian Lake, New York, on a plateau overlooking Indian Lake at the base of Snowy Mountain. The Adirondack Smokehouse Barbecue Company serves "Real Pit Southern Barbecue with a Northern Touch," using local Oak wood for a light smoke that enhances specially blended spice rubs. They specialize in "Chicken & Ribs" BBQ and "Pig Roasts" and offer full-service off-premise catering, including Oak-smoked Prime Rib, Steaks, Lamb, Pork Chops, and Duckling. The inn provides a clean place to stay with great barbecue, and the surrounding Indian Lake-Speculator region is known as the "Moose Capital" of the Adirondacks and offers excellent hiking.
