About Camp Guggenheim.

The Guggenheim Center, located on the northern shore of Lower Saranac Lake, is a 130-acre property donated to the Diocese of Ogdensburg in 1963. Surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains near Saranac Lake, it serves as a spiritual and recreational hub for the diocese and other groups. The center features two main sections: the Dorm and the Lodge. The Dorm can accommodate 80 overnight campers and is primarily where Camp Guggenheim, a weekly summer camp for young people aged 12 to 18, takes place in July and August. It also hosts Family Guggenheim weekends in August and Columbus Day, along with various diocesan, parish, and school events like retreats and meetings. The Lodge, an Adirondack Great Camp with an associated boathouse, offers accommodation for thirteen overnight guests. It is utilized for retreats and other gatherings, often serving priests, nuns, their families, and other church-related groups. The entire Guggenheim Center operates from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day and is available for use by individuals, groups, or non-profit organizations seeking a peaceful setting for reflection and community in the Adirondacks.
