Sprague Pond is a 58-acre water in the Indian Lake township — modest size, no formal fish stocking records on file, and far enough from the High Peaks corridor that it doesn't show up on most hiking itineraries. The pond sits in the southern Adirondacks where the terrain flattens into longer stretches of mixed hardwood and the lakes tend toward private shoreline or light-touch public access rather than designated campsites and marked trails.
