About Cascade Mountain Trailhead.
This popular out-and-back hiking trail covers 4.8 miles round trip to the summit of Cascade Mountain. Hikers will experience a total elevation gain of 1940 feet on their ascent to the 4098-foot peak, making it a rewarding climb for those seeking Adirondack views.
The trail provides access to expansive views from its exposed summit. Along the way and at the top, hikers may encounter summit stewards who educate visitors about the importance of protecting the fragile alpine vegetation found in this high-elevation environment.
