Pyramid Brook drains north off the flanks of Hurricane Mountain, cutting through mixed forest before joining the East Branch of the Ausable River near the hamlet of Keene — one of several small, steep feeder streams that keep the Ausable system cold and oxygenated through summer. The brook takes its name from Pyramid Mountain, a minor wooded summit east of the watercourse, not from any particularly pyramidal feature of the stream itself.
