Necessary Dam Road.

A 1.2-mile walk on an old road, short enough to knock out before lunch or when the weather window is closing. The flat grade and easy footing make it work for families with young kids or anyone looking to move without the commitment of a full day. It won't give you a summit or a waterfall, but it gets you into the woods and back out in under an hour.
