About Adirondack Snowmobile.
This snowmobile operation is located in Lake Placid, about a five-minute drive from Main Street, and has been providing guided tours throughout the Adirondack State Park since 1983.
They offer various options including guided group tours, private guided tours, guide-only services, and unguided rentals. Guided tours typically include taxes, fuel for up to four hours, and full face shield DOT approved helmets. Group tours are 75 minutes or longer, with guides in the front for faster rides and guides in the back for calmer paces, ensuring no one is left behind. After group tours, complimentary hot chocolate is offered, and younger guests aged five and up can drive size-appropriate snowmobiles behind a guide.
Private guided tours can be customized, with options for two-hour evening tours or three-hour or longer day tours where guests dictate the speed. A two-snowmobile minimum applies to private tours. For experienced riders seeking independence, unguided rentals are available with a four-hour minimum and a two-snowmobile minimum for safety. A security deposit may be required for rentals and larger groups in case of damages.
