About The Wild Center.

This Adirondack center offers new ways to connect with nature through live animal ambassadors, immersive hands-on exhibits, and extensive outdoor experiences. It is dedicated to fostering a future where people and the natural world thrive together, inviting guests to explore the story of the Adirondacks and discover innovative ways for humans and nature to coexist. Outdoors, visitors can explore 115 acres of woodland trails, including the elevated Wild Walk, an innovative path through the treetops. Other outdoor features include guided canoe trips on the Raquette River, Patrick Dougherty’s Stickwork, Forest Music, and the Pines Play Area, a wild playground designed for children. Indoors, the center spans 54,000 square feet of exhibit halls. Guests can meet Adirondack animal ambassadors during encounters, experience a simulated flight with Birdly, and attend live shows or films in the Flammer Theater. Exhibits such as Climate Solutions and Planet Adirondack offer insights into the natural world and environmental science.
