About Treetops.
Established in 1921, this summer camp cultivates an inclusive community rooted in child-centered education. It emphasizes fostering self-reliance, building confidence, and promoting a harmonious relationship with nature. The program offers children an unplugged summer experience, allowing them to connect deeply with their surroundings without digital distractions.
The camp's unique approach focuses on enabling children to grow in knowledge, creativity, and competence through diverse activities. A central tenet is the importance of direct and constant engagement with the natural world. Campers participate in activities spanning nature and wilderness exploration, arts, waterfront sports, whimsical play, and farm and garden work.
Treetops aims to create transformative experiences and build life-long relationships among campers and counselors. The program is designed to allow children to develop a strong sense of community while exploring various interests and developing new skills in an enriching outdoor environment.
