About Craigardan.
This Adirondack organization nurtures interdisciplinary creative practice through an international residency program and community education. It welcomes applications for residencies of two weeks or more, including ceramic, literary, visual, and performance artists, as well as farmers, chefs, activists, scholars, and researchers. Residents from around the Adirondack region and the world, at any career stage, are encouraged to apply.
Community courses and events foster interaction between visiting artists and the local public. Together with the Adirondack community, it nurtures a deep sense of place through people, culture, food, stories, and the exchange of ideas and skills.
Craigardan also involves the farming and stewarding of 320 acres of mountainside fields and forests in the Adirondack State Park. The farm and farm store are open to the public Monday through Saturday, 9am-6pm. The main campus and grounds are open to the public only during courses and events or by advance appointment.
