1880s Adirondack Great Camp on Blue Mountain Lake.
Situated on more than 12 acres of Adirondack woods with 1,600 feet of waterfront on Blue Mountain Lake, this historic Great Camp is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property operates as a working resort, welcoming over 1,000 guests each season.
The resort offers over 30 lodging options, including 14 lakeside and non-lakeside cabins, five lodge suites, and 12 lodge rooms. A full-service dining room serves breakfast and dinner daily. Seasonal recreation, available from early June through mid-October, includes boats, docks, a private beach, a tennis court, an activities pavilion, and a game room.
Founded as the Duryea Camp in 1880 by Civil War General Hiram Duryea, he chose this beautiful setting on Blue Mountain Lake for his rugged yet comfortable Great Camp. He placed a boathouse, dining room, kitchen, and other buildings along the shoreline for his family and guests escaping city life. The Collins family acquired the property in 1921 and began welcoming guests as The Hedges, continuing the Great Camp tradition.
