What you’re stepping into .
1898 lakeshore resort on Blue Mountain Lake.
Maple Lodge Road on the north shore of Blue Mountain Lake. The place has hosted guests since 1898 and converted from private hunting camp to working resort in 1948, family-owned ever since. The Great Camp architecture is the actual product: timber-framed main lodge, screened porches, the kind of building no one builds anymore.
The lodging mix runs in three pieces. Eight rooms inside the main lodge for the architectural experience. Four motel-style units for guests who want a private entrance and less common-space rhythm. Nine cottages, one to three bedrooms, for families and small groups. A separate year-round rental, the Hemlock House, sits two miles down the road in Blue Mountain Lake village.
Rates include a hearty Adirondack breakfast and dinner, with bagged lunches available for trail days. The property carries 500 feet of waterfront with a large beach, swimming area, fishing dock, and a fleet of kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats for guest use. Open mid-June through mid-October, which is the honest season for a north-shore property this far inland. Best for families running a multi-generational week at the same address year over year.
