Sixty-nine years old and renovated again under new ownership in 2019. The Blue Ridge sits on US 9 in the Adirondack Hub, almost exactly between Schroon Lake village and the North Hudson exit, which makes it a working base for hikers heading into the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness or up to the Dix Range and for paddlers working Schroon and Paradox Lakes.
Rooms have private baths, AC, and wifi. The lobby was redone to host a continental breakfast and a small gift shop. The pet-friendly room (the Hoffman) takes dogs without a side fee, which is rarer along this corridor than it should be.
Closed roughly the last week of March through mid-April for a family break; otherwise year-round. Not a destination; a reliable place to sleep before the trail. That's the right job for a motel on this stretch of road.
