Historic 1898 Adirondack great camp on its own 500-acre private lake — rented exclusively for gatherings up to 35 guests.

Lake Kora is a fully restored 1898 Adirondack great camp on 1,000 acres of private forest surrounding its own 500-acre lake near Raquette Lake. The camp was designed by William West Durant — the architect who effectively defined the great-camp style — for Timothy L. Woodruff, then Lieutenant Governor of New York, and was originally called Kamp Kill Kare.

The compound is rented on an exclusive-buyout basis only, sleeping up to 35 guests across sixteen bedrooms in the main lodge, the Playhouse complex, and a constellation of cottages and outbuildings. Stays are all-inclusive: meals, non-alcoholic beverages, and on-site activities are all bundled in. The Playhouse — the social heart of the property — houses a pub, two vintage bowling lanes, a squash court, a media room, and spa treatment space, and serves as an informal venue for meals and barbecues.

Open late June through October. Best suited for weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and milestone-celebration trips at the upper end of the market. Reservations and pricing inquiries are handled directly through the camp.
