About Sawyer Mountain Trailhead.
Sawyer Mountain is an excellent choice for those new to hiking in the Indian Lake region. This beginner-friendly trail involves an elevation gain of approximately 630 feet over a distance of about 1 mile, making it accessible for many.
While the summit itself is wooded and lacks expansive views, hikers will discover several lookouts strategically placed along the trail. These vantage points offer scenic vistas of nearby peaks, including Snowy and Wakely Mountains, as well as other notable mountains within the Indian Lake area.
The trailhead for Sawyer Mountain is conveniently situated off of Route 28/30, providing straightforward access for visitors.
