About Adirondack Railbike.
Adirondack Railbike Adventures provides a distinctive way to explore the beauty of the Adirondack Mountains. These tours allow individuals of all ages to pedal along historic rail lines, offering a front-row seat to the region's natural landscapes and spectacular vistas.
The adventures depart from two primary locations: Old Forge (Thendara Station) and Tupper Lake. From Thendara, guests can choose rides like the River Run, which follows the river, or the Timber Ridge, which immerses riders in the forest canopy. The Tupper Lake experience, known as The Raquette Rambler, offers a round trip through stunning scenery.
The company's vision is to expand rail and coordinated trail-based offerings, making remote areas of the Adirondack Park accessible to people of varying physical capacities. All railbikes used for these tours are proudly made in New York.
This activity is described as a fun, interesting, and beautiful way to engage with the Adirondacks. It provides an opportunity to see parts of the region that are uniquely visible from the railroad right-of-way, offering a quiet and enjoyable outing for families and individuals alike.
