About North Creek Depot Museum.
The North Creek Railroad Depot, a historic 1872 landmark, has been preserved and transformed into a vibrant museum, heritage center, and community hub. Explore permanent exhibits detailing the history of the Adirondack Railroad and its impact on the region, the fascinating story of Theodore Roosevelt's midnight ride to the presidency, the development of skiing at Gore Mountain through the Snow Trains, and the history of the D&H Railroad.
The museum also features a scale model of "North Creek and the Adirondack Railroad" by Dunham Studios. Seasonal hours typically begin on Memorial Day Weekend, with specific hours varying through the summer and fall. Special group tours are available by appointment. The museum encourages support through memberships and donations to help maintain programs, acquire artifacts, and develop exhibits.
