§ Field Notes

About Eagle Island Camp.

Eagle Island Camp provides overnight and day programs for girls and young women in the Adirondacks, with a mission to inspire and empower them to be confident, collaborative, and courageous. Campers engage in classic Adirondack adventures designed to build confidence, courage, and connection. Each week, campers select two to three adventure tracks from a variety of options, including sailing, paddling, and daily swim lessons on Upper Saranac Lake. Other activities feature arts and crafts, nature exploration, music and drama, health and wellness, and various games. The camp also publishes "Eagle's Eye," a camper-run newspaper that fosters creative writing and editing skills. Beyond its youth summer programs, Eagle Island also hosts Women's Weekends and is available for Rustic Retreat Groups.
