Island Line Trail

The Island Line Trail is a rail-trail conversion that runs along the eastern shore of Lake Champlain, connecting Burlington, Vermont to the Champlain Islands via a historic causeway. The trail's signature feature is a 3-mile crossing over the water on the old railroad bed, including a gap bridged by a seasonal bike ferry. Popular with cyclists and walkers, it offers flat, paved riding with lake views and is accessible year-round on land sections.
