This abandoned rail corridor once served a slate operation in the southern Adirondacks, part of the Delaware & Hudson network that facilitated mineral extraction in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The spur was dismantled by 1950, leaving little more than a trace in the landscape where ties and ballast have long since been reclaimed by forest. The nominal 0.1 km length reflects a surviving fragment or documented endpoint rather than a walkable route.
