§ Field Notes
About Godwin Preserve.
Godwin Preserve features two marked hiking trails. The Yellow Trail, approximately 0.8 miles, leads to a lookout with views of High Nopit and the Amy's Park wetlands. It follows a logging road with a gradual incline, then a short, steep ledge. The Red Trail, about 0.5 miles, begins where the Yellow Trail intersects and gradually descends to the border of the Pole Hill Pond Preserve. A separate path connects to Amy's Park, offering a relatively flat route to its trails and facilities. The preserve is open year-round from dawn to dusk, and hunting is permitted by permit only.
