§ Field Notes

About Raquette Lake Boys Camp.

Since 1916, Raquette Lake has provided a traditional sleepaway camp experience for boys. Its immersive 7-week program offers a single-gender environment where boys can build friendships, gain independence, and develop confidence. As one of America's oldest family-owned boys overnight camps, it maintains a "brother-sister" tradition that allows for structured social events with its sister camp. The camp provides a wide array of activities, from land sports such as football, tennis, and basketball, to a waterfront program featuring wakeboarding and sailing on one of the Adirondacks’ largest lakes. Boys can also challenge themselves on a climbing and ropes course and explore the wilderness during overnight canoe trips.
