§ Field Notes
About Amy's Park.
Amy's Park offers a quiet escape with over 6 miles of trails that explore its active beaver ponds and provide scenic overlooks of the Indian Brook and Northwest Bay region of Lake George. The trails are generally easy to challenging, featuring mostly flat terrain with occasional gentle or brief climbs. Bridges are present to help cross muddy sections and streams. The main parking lot on Padanarum Road serves as the starting point for the Yellow, Orange, and Blue trails, while the Red Trail begins from Trout Falls Road. Hikers can explore various viewpoints, including a rocky outcropping overlooking the pond and a scenic lookout point on the Red Trail. The park also provides access to the Godwin Preserve via a marked trail. A boat launch for canoes and kayaks is accessible from the main parking lot with a short portage.
