About The Golden Monkey Lounge.
South Street in downtown Glens Falls, a few blocks off the central park core. The lounge runs as the elevated-cocktail option in a downtown that mostly does bar-and-grill, which is the editorial position: come for the drinks, not for a heavy dinner. The room is sized for friend-group conversation and table-game volume rather than dance-floor crowds.
The bar program is the work product. The bartenders run a deliberate experimentation rhythm, building new house cocktails on a rotation that gives regulars something to come back for. The food menu sticks to sharable plates that pair with the drinks, served until 11 p.m. when the kitchen closes.
The large private patio is the warm-weather destination: fire pits, flowers, music, and cornhole. Wednesday through Saturday operation, 5 p.m. to midnight. Golden Hours run 5 to 7 p.m. with $2 off menu items, four nights a week. Themed weekly events promoted on social, often with paired food and drink specials. Best for downtown Glens Falls visitors who want a real cocktail program rather than a pub, and for date nights.
