About The Hedges on Blue Mountain Lake.
An Adirondack landmark, this rustic resort has welcomed individuals and families for generations, now hosting over 1,000 guests each season. It is situated on more than 12 acres of pristine Adirondack woods, boasting 1600 feet of waterfront on crystal-clear Blue Mountain Lake.
Guests can choose from over 30 lodging options, including fourteen lakeside and non-lakeside cabins, five lodge suites, and twelve lodge rooms. A full-service dining room serves breakfast and dinner daily. Recreational facilities include boats, docks, a private beach, a tennis court, an activities pavilion, and a game room, all available from early June until mid-October.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the property began as the Duryea Camp in 1880. It transformed into The Hedges when the Collins family started welcoming guests in 1921, continuing its legacy as a Great Camp. Civil War General Hiram Duryea originally established a rugged yet comfortable camp here, strategically placing buildings along the beautiful shoreline for his family and guests seeking respite from city life.
