Moffit Beach Campground

This campground offers 247 sites along Sacandaga Lake, set within a flat, well-wooded landscape featuring large white pines and hardwoods. Located in the central Adirondack region at an elevation of 1,730 feet above sea level, it provides a scenic natural environment for campers. Visitors can enjoy swimming from designated beach areas, though these are unsupervised by lifeguards. Pets are permitted at the campground, provided they have current rabies vaccination proof and are kept on a leash no longer than six feet. Pets are not allowed in facility structures, on the beach, or in day use areas. Campsites must be registered by a person 18 years or older, with check-in from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and check-out by 11:00 a.m. Each site is limited to 6 individuals and either two tents or one hard-wheeled camping unit with one tent, plus two vehicles. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and generators have limited usage hours. Fires are restricted to provided fireplaces, using only dead and down wood; chainsaws are prohibited.
