About Blue Mountain Fire Observation Station.
Blue Mountain provides one of the most satisfying fire tower climbs in the Adirondacks. This genuine summit effort rewards hikers with sweeping views and a real sense of history at the top, from one of the region's most storied fire towers.
The trail covers a distance of 4 miles round trip, with an elevation of 3,759 feet and an ascent of 1,560 feet. Located in Blue Mountain Lake in the Central Adirondacks, the base of the mountain also features a world-class museum, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
